What you should know before purchasing

How does a maintenance plan work

Maintenance plans are a connection we make to your existing website that monitors, updates and backs up your website. It is not a hosting solution and is additional to any service you have now that runs your website.

My site is extremely out of date

If your site is more than six months out of date, then it may need some fixes when we update it to the latest version. If this is the case, we will let you know of any additional costs before we proceed.

Why is there a setup fee?

If we were not the agency that built your website, we have no idea if or who may have made changes to core code. We often find Va's "hack" code to make quick fixes. This often makes updates impossible. The setup fee covers our time to accurately assess the condition of your website, create a backup and test updates in a development environment. This covers up to 2 hours for time. If more time is needed we will let you know before we proceed. 

Is there any guarantee my website won't get hacked

If you are a client on our hosting servers with the premium maintenance plan, then the answer is Yes! If your site ever gets hacked, we will clean it up for you, free of charge, no matter what happened. If you are on maintenance only plan, then the answer is no. We have no way of protecting your website from a host that has poor security, bad practices or terrible network neighbours. Our standard maintenance plan protects your website; it doesn't help protect you from a cheap, poor quality hosting company.

How much do you charge for fixes and minor changes

We only do fixes relating to onboarding your website into the maintenance platform. Our standard rate after the first 2 hours (the setup fee) is $75 per hour. 

Are plugin licenses included

No! Most plugins only have a 12 month license period. If the plugin licenses are not current, then updates are not possible. We can manage this for you and bill you for the plugins required. We will let you know about licenses as they become due. If you choose not to renew a license and it stops us from updating a plugin on your website, we then cancel your maintenance plan. A 15% surcharge applies to all plugins we have to purchase

How many websites are included per plan

One! If you have more than one website, then you will need a plan per site. If you have a lot of websites, talk to us, and we can work out a custom service for you.

What if my site breaks

Before we make any changes to your site, we complete a full audit. Once complete, we will let you know what we expect the outcome of updating it will be. We do this without any interruption to your existing site.

Is there any contract

No! Once you pay the setup fee and first month you can leave at any time you like. But remember, your site will become outdated within a week or so. If you're not planning on sticking around its a waste of money and time to signup in the first place.

What if i need to roll back a change

Our platform lets you take manual backups anytime you like. It's best practice to do so before you make changes. However, we are not your VA's disaster recovery service. Should you need to restore your site in a disaster, there is a $250 one time fee if you need us to perform any disaster recovery.

My site is very old and it's to expensive for me to fix

Then you don't take your online business seriously! Your website is your shop front to the world. What would the cost be to your companies reputation if your site is defaced? In this case, I would not recommend signing up. If you already have, we will refund the monthly fee and cancel the account, the signup fee is non-refundable because it covers our time to evaluate the site

Are fixes and small changes included.

No! You are purchasing a plan that backups up, updates, and keeps your website as secure as possible. If something breaks or you need something changed, you would need to pay our hourly rate for us to fix it.
